Our Story
New Creation Lutheran Church Story
New Creation Lutheran Church held it's first Worship Service on February 27th, 2011 led by Pastor Pat Simmons. While our start seems rather recent, our roots run deep! New Creation Lutheran Church is a member of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod at our church building was at one time home to Christ Lutheran Church. Â
Rev. Pat Simmons started new creation and served as her first pastor until 2015. At this point Rev. Don Taylor and Mr. Craig McCourt (Certified Lay Minister) stepped in to help as the church searched for her second pastor. In 2017 that search ended when Mr. Craig McCourt began serving New Creation full-time as a Vicar. Craig who had served for 25 plus years in various churches now entered Concordia Seminary St. Louis where he began his studies in the Specific Ministry Pastor (SMP) program.
In June of 2019 Craig was Ordained and Installed as the second Pastor of New Creation Lutheran Church. Another milestone in the life of the church was reached in 2019 with the addition of Vicar Jorge Gomez. Vicar Jorge is also a student at Concordia Seminary St. Louis and will serve New Creation Nueva Creación in the area of hispanic outreach and ministry.
